Mahone Bay. NS, December 5, 2013 – Heritage Canada has announced $14,400 in funding will help the Mahone Bay Centre Society present activities to celebrate the history of the Mahone Bay Old School. Over nine months, the work of more than 140 local artists, artisans, and heritage performers will be featured. 2014 will be the 100th anniversary of the school.

Halifax, NS – September 20, 2013 - Following a successful 25th Anniversary event in Halifax, the East Coast Music Association (ECMA) reports a $101,021 surplus for 2013. This eliminates the ECMA deficit and leaves the Association with a surplus of $12,800. The 2013 Sponsorship team, led by Andree Gracie, raised over $1 million in cash and in-kind contributions. Increased government support of $597,500 included funds received from all levels of government.
