Concert series across the province promotes the music and stories of Newfoundland and Labrador in National Historic Sites

St. John’s, NL, Canada – July 2nd 2014 - The Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Arts Society has partnered with Parks Canada to deliver a concert series in National Historic Sites across the province in the summer of 2014. The series launched on June 26th with a sold-out acoustic concert at Signal Hill National Historic Site featuring acclaimed Newfoundland musicians Katie Baggs and Amelia Curran.

Over 200 regional, national and international delegates will take in four full days of artistic discovery which will include such acts as 2014 Grammy award winning singer songwriter Jennifer Gasoi, Halifax based and nationally recognized contemporary dance company Mocean Dance, Juno Award winning group Chic Gamine and award winning St. John’s based theatre company Bare Boards Theatre Co.
