Halifax author Pamela Callow releases third novel, Tattooed, in stores May 29.

Halifax, NS – May 15, 2012 - Internationally-published Halifax author, Pamela Callow will release her third legal thriller, Tattooed (MIRA Books), in stores everywhere on May 29. To celebrate she will host a “Free to the Public” book reading and signing at The Carleton in Halifax on Friday, June 8 from 8 p.m. - 10 p.m. The Bookmark will provide books for sale at the venue.
Tattooed is the follow up to Callow’s debut novel Damaged (MIRA Books, 2010) and second book, (MIRA Books, 2011). It is the third installment in her Kate Lange thriller series set in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This critically-acclaimed series has been compared to works by Robin Cook, Tess Gerritsen and John Grisham. RT Book Reviews hailed the series lead Kate Lange as, "...a standout." Callow’s books have been translated and sold in France, Holland, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Callow is a contributor to the International Thriller Writers' Thriller 3: Love is Murder anthology, edited by New York Times bestselling author Sandra Brown, which was given a starred review by Publisher’s Weekly. She will be signing Tattooed and Love is Murder at Book Expo America on June 5 and 6 at the Javits Center, New York. She will also be participating in the launch of the International Thriller Writers' Thriller 3: Love is Murder anthology on July 13 at the Grand Central Hyatt, New York. In addition, Callow will be a panelist at the International Thriller Writer’s International Conference Thrillerfest VII, on July 14 in New York.

Last month, Callow was invited by Crime Writers of Canada (CWC) to be a Celebrity author for their Page Turner Challenge, where she provided a sample of a "page-turner" opening, as a guide to writers entering the Page Turner Challenge contest. This contest was run by CBC Books in partnership with CWC, and judged by internationally-bestselling mystery author Louise Penny. She is also a contributing blogger on Huffington Post Canada, where she recently wrote a two-part series, Tattoos: Under Society’s Skin.
Prior to pursuing writing as a career, Callow worked as a manager in the Strategic Services group for international consulting firm, Accenture. She is a member of the Nova Scotia Bar, and has a Master's degree in Public Administration. She currently lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with her husband, two children and their pug, Peaches.
