Dave Carroll Book Release Held at Halifax International Airport

Halifax, NS – May 15, 2012 – Dave Carroll held a book release at Halifax International Airport this morning for 'United Breaks Guitars: The Power of One Voice in the Age of Social Media.' The book is published by Hay House Publishing in California and will be available across North America, the UK, India and Australia in Hardcover and eBook versions. Dave is also giving away 6 songs to share more of his music.
To mark the official book release Dave also posted a book trailer on YouTube which includes a new song called 'I’ve Got a Book Comin' Out.' The video features familiar faces from the United Breaks Guitars trilogy, and in the same humorous vein gives a sneak peak of what readers can expect from the book.
Dave has already secured several high profile reviews of the book. Frank McKenna, Deputy Chair, TD Bank Group and former Canadian Ambassador to the United States Says the book “is the profoundly moving account of how one man took on an implacable system and won. Josh Bernoff, the co-author of “Groundswell” says “This may be one of the most humble stories ever told by a man who changed the world.”
Dave’s saga of United Airlines breaking his guitar is known to millions around the world. The video he produced of the incident went viral in a big way and is viewed as a measure on how the effective use of social media can change the activities of large corporations.
Dave continues a busy music career and will have a new album out soon. He is also a regular on the speaking circuit that recently took him as far away as Russia. The spin-offs don’t end there. Last year Dave Carroll became a co-founder of Gripevine, a company established to help consumers deal with poor service.
