The Back Yard Devils Win BIG at the MusicNB Awards

Moncton – October 24, 2011 - The BackYard Devils have quickly established themselves as a group to watch in the future. They started the Music New Brunswick Awards Program off by winning Emerging Artist of the year and went on to pick up a total of 3 awards for their debut album, “The BackYard Devils.” They also won for the Anglophone Country Recording and Group Recording of the Year.

It wasn’t long after the awards group member Eric Arsenault saw his email box fill up. He spoke with East Coast Kitchen Party Publisher, Mike Trenholm. You can listen to that interview from the Soundcloud file below.

The Back Yard Devils have successfully reached out to record music that blends various influences from country, rockabilly and bluegrass. Their ability to present it with a modern twist, yet remain true to the origins of the music itself, has attracted a lot of attention. They put it on display in the music track below, “Mean Moonshine Blues.”

Judging by all the notes of congratulations left on their Facebook Page, The Back Yard Devils will have the support of a supportive and growing fan base. They will be touring throughout the Maritimes in the months ahead, but expect trips elsewhere in Canada is in their future.
