Final Lineup for Summersonic 2012 in Halifax Announced

 

 

 

 

 

Halifax, NS – July 19, 2012 – The final lineup for SummerSonic 2012 has been announced. The event runs Friday, September 7 through Sunday, September 9th at the Garrison Grounds at Citadel Hill.

 

There’s a first rate list of performers booked for this year’s event.

Matt Andersen’s release of Coal Mining Blues raised him to new career heights. He has toured non-stop since it came out last September. He was recently nominated for a British Blues Awards. Rise Against is an American punk band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in December 1999. They’ve enjoyed considerable commercial success and remain politically active in numerous areas. Recently, Rise Against contributed to Chimes of Freedom, the songs of Bob Dylan honouring 50 years of Amnesty International. Rise Against did a stunning interpretation of Ballad of Hollis Brown. The festival is open to all ages with a licensed section for those 19+ with valid ID.
