Rozalind MacPhail - Flute Loops From The Rock to the Atlantic Film Festival
St. John’s, NL – September 12, 2011 – We’ve been fortunate to reach a number of artists as they head to this year’s Atlantic Film Festival. We’re also fortunate to speak with Rozalind MacPhail. Rozalind brings a vibrancy to her music that makes it instantly appealing.
Rozalind has already performed music for film and heads to the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax to perform live music from selected films from Painted Houses and the 2011 Dawson City International Short Film Festival’s One Minute Film Challenge.
We reached Rozalind in St. John’s and she explains how her appearance at the Atlantic Film Festival came about and her approach to making music for motion pictures.

Rozalind’s Music and Image performance takes place Sunday, September 18th at the Niche Restaurant in the Festival Lounge beginning at 5:30pm. We’re going to ask Rozalind to speak to us after the Festival to get her assessment of how things went. This is music that is a joy to hear but also music to keep an eye on.
