Paul Randy Mingo "I Ain't All Crazy" - Audio Interview
Salmon River, NS, December 6, 2011 – You want to get ready to kick up your heels at the weekend dance when you know Paul Randy Mingo is showing up to perform. His new album produced at Feswick Productions in Liverpool has all the markings of a country album with deep East Coast roots. JP Cormier helps out with the fiddle and mandolin. Paul is a piano player in the tradition of Jerry Lee Lewis, Sir Elton John, and Ronnie Milsap.
We spoke with Paul about the new recording. You can listen to our chat on the Soundcloud file below.
Tim Feswick as well as being a producer, engineer and studio owner is also one of the many talented musicians playing on the new album. JP Cormier on the fiddle and mandolin, is helped out by Tim Feswick on the electric and acoustic guitars as well as the bass, dobro, percussion and harmonies. The rest of the group effort includes Shane Hatt on drum, Bob MacDonald on the pedal steel, Lacey Huntley harmonies, and of course Paul Randy Mingo on the piano and vocals. Popsicle Sunday is the single from the album and one of the most popular songs we have been streaming recently on East Coast Kitchen Party.
All of the songs on the album are written by Paul and stem from all of his travels over the years as well as his life experiences. It is a mix of traditional country with some new ideas thrown in for good measure. Visit Paul’s website for details on how to purchase the album and future tour dates.
