Gabrielle Papillon Releases “Little Bug”

Halifax, NS – July 27, 2012 - After an exhausting spring on tour and having spent all of June camped out in-studio, Gabrielle Papillon is set to release her fourth studio album, Little Bug, this fall.
Gabrielle brought in some high profile help for the The 11-song LP. It was Produced by Nova Scotia Music Week's Producer of the Year Daniel Ledwell (Jenn Grant's Juno-nominated Honeymoon Punch), the album features guest vocals from Jenn Grant (on "Turn Left") and a guitar solo by Juno-nominee Roxanne Potvin (on 'Moonless Night'). The album also features work from Gabrielle's longtime Montreal and Halifax band members.
Southern Souls video featuring two of Gabrielle's new songs has just been released for fans to get a taste of the new material.
Little Bug will be an immense offering from Papillon, who has written nine new songs for the album, including Gabrielle's first French-language tune, 'Coccinelle'. Gabrielle has also re-worked two fan-favourites from her previous album The Wanderer, 'I Am Sold' and 'Turn Left', and new tracks like "Go Into the Night" and "Oh My Favourite" stand out as songs that will soon be trapped in everyone's head.
Gabrielle Papillon bounces between her home bases in Montreal and Halifax when she is not on tour. The production and recording process of Little Bug is a reflection of the past two years Papillon has spent at home in both cities. Gabrielle has completed four cross-Canada tours and several regional tours in various parts of Canada since 2010. She appeared at the Halifax Pop Explosion 2011, Canadian Music Week 2012 and NXNE 2012 (to critical acclaim and a packed house). She also had an official showcase at the prestigious International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis, Tennessee in 2011.
Her previous EP, Currency of Poetry, was released in 2011 and landed a spot on the Folk/Roots/Blues Top 20 !earshot charts for October 2011.
