Alert the Medic recently recorded a new video of Cardboard Cutout from their 2009 “We the Weapon” album. The video, filmed while the group is sitting around a campfire gives you a real sense of the creative atmosphere of the region.
The group consists of vocalist and guitarist Ryan MacDonald, bassist Matt Campbell, guitarist Troy Arseneault and drummer Dale Wilson. While based in Halifax, the group’s roots date back to 2002 when they formed under the band name Rudy. They grew up together in and around the town of Stellarton, Nova Scotia. They released one full length album as Rudy in 2002 titled "Overtones and Undertones" which was produced and engineered by Canadian country star George Canyon.
The group returns often and on Saturday, January 14, 2012 will perform in a special winter edition of New Glasgow Jubilee with The Stanfield’s and Fleur Mainville who also hail from Pictou County, Nova Scotia.
