Charlottetown, PE - May 18, 2012 - The 2012 Charlottetown SummerFest will be held June 29th to July 1st at Confederation Landing Park and Victoria Park in Charlottetown, PEI. The weekend will include an array of free activities in Victoria Park, the largest fireworks display East of Montreal, and a spectacular 2-day concert lineup at Confederation Landing celebrating some of the best music the east coast has to offer. Atlantic Book Award Winners Announced Thursday Night in St. John's

 

 

 

 

St. John’s, NL May 17, 2012 — The winners of the 2012 Atlantic Book Awards were announced Thursday night in a ceremony held at the LSPU Hall in St. John’s, Newfoundland, the first time the annual event took place outside of Nova Scotia. Amy House hosted the sold-out event, which also featured a performance by Andy Jones and few words from City of St. John’s Poet Laureate Tom Dawe. While much of the country was focused on the final results of Canada’s Got Talent, many in Cape Breton were watching the first show of the season for The Bachelorette and Cape Breton native Aaron Martell.
